A railroad worker walks past rail cars buried by thousands of tons of coal spilled following the early morning derailment of 48 of 117 cars of a Union Pacific train, blocking Route 90 near Edelstein, Ill.. The train, carrying coal from Wyoming to Peoria, derailed one mile west of Illinois Route 40.
